Basic Steps to prevent pimples

1.Cleanse your face

Wash your face daily with warm water and a mild facial cleanser. using a soap can harm the already inflamed skin and can cause more irritation.Washing your face removes all the dead skin, excessive oils and other impurities from the surface of the skin.

Do not scrub your skin forcefully with a washcloth, instead use a soft cloth and gently scrub. You don’t want bursting your pimples while scrubbing. Trust me, its a messy affair.

2.Moisturize your face

Many acne product usually make the skin dry and rough, so to minimize these effect always use a moisturizer that will avoid dryness and peeling of skin. moisturizer are of two types one for dry skin and other for oily skin. So if your skin is oily you should use the gel based moisturizer. If your skin is dry skin then you may use moisturizing creams or lotion.

Always test your skin first to know the type of your skin and then apply moisturizer. Also wash your face properly with water before applying the moisturizer.

3.Keep your hands off your face

Excessive touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands may result in spreading of the bacteria to other parts of your skin. Do not pick or pop the pimples using your fingers as it can result in infection and scarring of the skin. believe me a single pimple is worth thousand sorrows and I hope you don’t want to multiply your sorrows. :)

4.Protect your face with a scarf

when going outdoors or biking etc always use a scarf to cover your face as the pores get blocked easily with dirt. Do not scrub your face with a handkerchief, use hydrated tissue papers instead. They keep your skin clean as well as hydrated.

5.Watch what you put on your hair.

If you put excessive oils or fragrances on your hair then they might drip down to your forehead or face hence blocking your skin pores and irritating the skin. Use gentle shampoos and conditioners instead. If you have oily hair then wash your hair regularly for at least two to three times daily.

6.Use light makeup

for all the beautiful ladies, if you want to avoid getting a pimple use light makeup or water based makeups .Using oil free and dye free makeups will help you reduce the effect of pimples. You don’t want to see your pimple multiplying because of your mascara or foundation.

7.Try an over-the-counter acne product.Topical (those applied to the skin) acne products may contain ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, an antibacterial agent with a drying effect, or salicylic acid, an agent that sloughs off skin and gets rid of bacteria. Start with a small amount at first. Then increase or decrease the amount and how often you apply it, depending on how much peeling or drying you have. Use these ointments with caution if you have sensitive skin. Benzoyl peroxide can cause redness and scaling of the skin. It can also bleach your clothes, towel, and hair.
